Loremaxxing Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Loremaxxing includes photo transformations and short voice games. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how deletion works.
Photos and generated images
Photos you upload are sent to our servers to create your result. We keep your uploads and the images we generate so the app can show them back to you, and we delete them when you delete your account or ask us to. Raw uploads live in a private bucket. The before/after images behind a result and any share link you create use unguessable URLs. They are not listed or browsable, but anyone holding the link can open them. Delete the result if you do not want someone with the link to view it.
We use uploaded and generated images to run the product, show your results, support the sharing links you create, fix problems, and improve how transforms turn out.
Voice games and recordings
When you choose to play a voice game, we use your microphone for that short game round. A round normally includes a brief setup and countdown followed by about one minute of play. We use the recording and transcript to recognize your answers, keep scoring fair, investigate reliability or abuse issues, and make future games better. The microphone is released when the round ends; we do not continuously record you in the background.
Voice-round recordings and transcripts are kept in private systems and are never published. To recognize your answers, the round audio is streamed to our speech-to-text provider while you play, and the round recording may be sent to that provider afterward to double-check your score. Your transcribed answers and score events are also processed by our product-analytics provider so we can measure and improve answer recognition. We do not send recordings or transcripts to ad platforms; when we measure an ad campaign, the only round data an ad platform receives is that a round finished, along with the game, your score, and an opaque round ID. We may review de-identified round recordings and transcripts internally to improve answer recognition, category quality, and reliability.
If you are signed into a web account when a round starts, we link that round to your opaque account ID so we can restore your play history across verified devices. Guests remain linked only to an anonymous browser ID; your phone number is never stored on the round record.
Account, phone, and device data
- Anonymous device identifier. The app creates a random device ID so we can run the app, apply abuse limits, restore your own looks, and understand product usage.
- Phone number. If you choose to save or restore your lore across devices, we collect your phone number and store it in E.164 format. Phone collection is optional. One-time verification and account-recovery codes are transactional messages, separate from our optional daily-drop marketing program. If you explicitly opt in, we may send recurring daily-drop marketing texts most days (about one message per day). Consent is not required to play or use Loremaxxing. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
- Suggestion text. If you send a transform idea or support message, we receive the text you type.
Analytics and attribution
We use a product-analytics provider to understand screens and actions in the product, such as visits, transform starts, completions, voice-game rounds and their transcribed answers, shares, errors, and account deletion. These events are tied to anonymous identifiers, not to your photo bytes or phone number.
The iOS app measures installs using Apple's SKAdNetwork and a mobile-measurement provider. We do not use IDFA, do not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Public web pages may use campaign measurement pixels to understand which ads led to visits.
How we use it
We use this data to create transformations, run and score voice games, show and restore results, enforce fair-use and anti-abuse limits, send verification and account-recovery codes when requested, send daily-drop texts only to numbers with explicit marketing consent, measure whether the product is working, and improve transform and game quality. We do not sell or share your photos, voice recordings, transcripts, or phone number for third parties' own marketing or advertising purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of service providers to run Loremaxxing: cloud hosting and storage, image generation and voice transcription, SMS delivery for verification and account-recovery codes and opted-in daily-drop marketing texts, product analytics, and install attribution. They process this data only to provide those services to us. If you want to know who they are, email us and we'll tell you.
Retention & deletion
Uploaded photos, generated images, voice-round recordings and transcripts, phone-device links, and product records may remain stored until you delete them through the tools we provide or ask us to delete what we can identify. In the app, delete account removes data tied to your device and, if you verified a phone number, other devices tied to that phone number. Deleting a web account removes the account link from its voice rounds. On the web, this browser can delete its raw uploads and voice-round data tied to its anonymous web cookie here. You can also contact us at the email below.
What we do not collect
Loremaxxing does not need your name, contacts, precise location, health data, or financial data to run the app. We do not send raw photo bytes, voice recordings, or image data URLs to our product-analytics provider or ad platforms, and we never send your phone number to them in readable form. When we measure signups that came from an ad, the ad platform receives only a one-way hashed identifier derived from your number, never the number itself.
Children
Loremaxxing is not directed to children under 13.
